An image of the Sombrero Galaxy taken by Hubble Space Telescope. Archived in the Messier catalog as M104, the spiral galaxy emits great amounts of light in the Universe. As seen from the image, the Sombrero Galaxy is almost parallel to the observer as seen from Earth. The magnitude of the Sombrero Galaxy is +8, which makes it a relatively bright galaxy, although it is better observed through larger telescopes. M104 can be found between the constellations Virgo and Corvus. In the extremely bright center of the galaxy lies a black hole.
